Forum North, is Northland’s top Performance, Conference and Expo centre, Located just 2 hours from central Auckland.
Resting in the city’s heart with the lush native bush-covered Western Hills as its backdrop, Forum North is a landmark building in Whangarei. Forum North is within the Council buildings and is surrounded by galleries, beautiful parks and the new public Library. The central location means that the CBD and main shopping mall, cafes, bars etc are all within a short 2 minute stroll. The Whangarei Airport is a 10 minute drive away.
Public parking is available outside the venue and also across the road.
Surrounded by coastline, nowhere in the region is more than 40 minutes from a pristine beach. A half hour drive from the CBD will take you to Tutukaka, where you can take a trip to the Poor Knights Islands marine reserve, regarded by the late Jacques Cousteau as one of the world’s top dive locations.
Whangarei is a booming city with a vibrant art scene and is the home of the first and largest growers/farmers market in New Zealand, which is adjacent to Forum North each Saturday morning. Just minutes from Forum North is the internationally famous Town Basin, reknown to yachties around the world as a refuge form the Pacific hurricane season.
